Physical Education

At Sriram Engineering College, Physical Education plays a pivotal role in shaping the overall development of our students by fostering physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and mental well-being.

Throughout the academic term, students actively engaged in a variety of physical activities, including team sports, individual fitness challenges, and skill-based games. These sessions not only improved the physical capabilities but also nurtured essential life skills such as leadership, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

Our Physical Education Department placed a strong emphasis on promoting regular exercise, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and encouraging students to stay active both on and off the field. The enthusiastic participation and spirited involvement of our students have been truly commendable.

We take pride in the progress and dedication demonstrated by every participant and look forward to organizing more dynamic and enriching physical education sessions in the coming term.

The college is having well-qualified Physical Education Directors to provide proper guidance and training to the students to prepare themselves to take part in District, State and National level sports meets. The students of this college have won several District, State and National Level sports meets.

1. Sports Achievements for the year : 2020 – 21

Mr. G Aravind Velusamy - Gold (1500m) & Silver (800m) – Anna University Zone-1 Athletic Meet.

IV Year Chemical Secured Gold Medal for 1500mts and silver medal for 800mts event in Anna University Zone-1 Athletic Meet held on 11.10.2019 and 12.10.2019 .

Mr. HAREESS P D - Participated in All India Inter-University Taekwondo Tournament.

I Year CSE participated at taekwondo event in All India Inter-University (Form-III) Tournaments held at Punjabi University – Patiala during period from 14.03.2020 to 17.03.2020.

Our campus hosted the Anna University Zonal Handball Tournament on 24.09.2018 and 27.09.2018.

Secured Fourth Place in the Anna University Zonal Chess Tournament held on 03.08.2017 at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Science and Technology.
