Guest Lecture On VLSI DESIGN METHODOLOGIES, APPLICATIONS AND ITS RECENT TRENDS & 5G WAVEFORM TECHNIQUES 12/02/2018.

Two Guest Lectures were conducted in ECE Department on 12.2.2018. The program started at 10 A.M with inauguration. The Guest speakers for the session were Dr. P. Nirmal Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication, College of Engineering, Guindy. The topic was VLSI Design Methodologies, Applications and Recent Trends. Basics of Transistors, Need for MOS transistors, FPGA, SoC Architectures, Generation of ICs, Scope and Future of VLSI were discussed. The target audience for the session was II and III year ECE students. The overall feedback of the session was very good. The other Guest was Dr. K. Gunaseelan, Assistant Professor (Sr.Grade), Department of Electronics and Communication, College of Engineering, Guindy. The target Audience for the session was IV year ECE students. The topic of the session was 5G Waveform Techniques. The various waveforms and the modulation techniques involved in new generation technology were discussed. The overall feedback of the session was very good.

Dept. ECE conducted National Level Technical Symposium on 22/09/2017.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Sriram Engineering College, Perumalpattu organized a One-day National-level Technical Symposium, namely ATTUNE2k17 on 22nd September, 2017. The Symposium hosted several technical and non-technical events such as Paper Presentations and Circuit Debugging to help the students expose their technical skills and creativity. Prof. V. Salai Selvam, HOD/ECE welcomed the gathering. Dr. G. Gopalakrishnan, Director (Academics), Sriram Group of Institutions, presided over the function. Prof. C. Senthilkumar, Assistant Professor/ECE introduced the guests of the day to the gathering. Mr.S. Sundaresan, DGM (Enterprise Business), BSNL, Chennai Telephones, who was the Chief Guest of the day, delivered the inaugural address and enlightened the gathering with the opportunities in the telecom industry. Mr. C. Chinnasami, DGM (Retd.), BSNL, Chennai Telephones, who was the Guest of Honour of the day, addressed the gathering. Prof. S. Vinoth Kumar, Assistant Professor/ECE delivered the vote of thanks.

Guest Lecture On 19th September 2022, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering inaugurated AECE association. Chief guest Mr. Suresh Murugesan, (Alumni batch 1999), Technical Manager , Infinite computer solutions , Chennai and Guest Speaker Mr. S. Sanjeev Kumar, (Alumni 2010) Director, Radent Engg., Chennai presided over the function. Guest Speaker delivered a Seminar on “Applications of Electromagnetic fields and Ultrasonics in Non Destructive testing”. ECE Students from SRPT, Mechanical, EEE students from our SREC participated in the program. All Participants involved themselves actively in the session. At the end of the session Chief Guest Alumnus interacted with all the students and enlightened them about the skill development required for industries.

II yr ECE Students visited the ship TAMIL KAMARAJ on 08-10-16 at Ennore Port trust, Chennai.

Association Activities

The Department Association organizes National level technical symposium every year besides organizing Guest Lectures, Industrial Visit, Educational Tour and In-plant training for the students.
