Science and Humanities Department

The Science and Humanities (S&H) Department at Sriram Engineering College plays a vital role in shaping the academic foundation of all engineering students, especially during their first year.

About the Department

The department provides fundamental knowledge required for engineering education. It supports all branches such as Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI & DS), Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML), Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS), Cyber Security, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), and Mechanical Engineering by offering core subjects in the initial semesters.
The subjects handled by the department include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English, Tamil & foreign language. These subjects help students develop analytical skills, scientific understanding, and communication abilities, thereby building a strong foundation for their respective engineering disciplines.
